Spring is a notable season on the Newport Beach nautical calendar with two marquee events. The action begins with the Newport Beach International Boat Show, running April 16–19 at Lido Marina Village. Those attending the show can tour a curated selection of world-class vessels, from performance boats to fully outfitted luxury yachts, as well as brands showcasing the latest in boating innovation. The opening-night party and VIP venues are worth a visit as well.
Among the exhibitors is CRC Marinas, which will be on-site showcasing its portfolio of premier properties—Bayside, Balboa, Bayshore and Villa Cove—offering prospective boat owners a solution to the perennial question of where to dock their new acquisitions. CRC Marinas’ Minutes from Freedom campaign highlights the strategic advantage of slips located near the harbor entrance, a critical factor for serious boaters. And CRC’s Signature Yacht Experience offers a luxury concierge service for customers.
Just days after the boat show wraps, the 78th Newport to Ensenada International Yacht Race (N2E) sets sail. Scheduled to start on Friday, April 24, the race remains a rite of passage for West Coast sailors. The course covers 125 nautical miles to Baja, a sprint that has seen legends like Rio100 set blistering records in years past. As crews make their final preparations, Newport Harbor serves as the ultimate staging ground.
